NEWSA 2014 Roundtable

Four Southern Africanists who integrate websites, social media, blogs, and other digital tools into their research and teaching participate in a roundtable discussion to consider the trajectories of digital Southern African Studies.

Each panelist will write a blog post on this site focusing on topics like Social Media and Blogging; Digital Pedagogy; Online Identities; and Web Repositories. The overall aim is to share professional experiences and spark a conversation about computing technologies' role in research practice, student training, publishing, and public engagement.

The North Eastern Workshops on Southern Africa (NEWSA) are intimate and intensive gatherings held approximately once every eighteen months in Burlington, Vermont.  The eleventh NEWSA meeting will take place on October 17-19, 2014, at the Bishop Booth Center in Burlington, Vermont, USA.  You can find the program of papers here.
